GFT Launches DealBook® WEB With Web 2.0 Technology

New Foreign Exchange Trading Application Accommodates Traders On the Go

ADA, Mich., 1 May. , 2007 - World–leading online currency trading company, GFT (Global Forex Trading) announced today that it is offering a Web–based trading application for people trading foreign currencies (online forex trading).

Further growing GFT’s reputation as a technology leader in online financial trading, GFT has developed a streamlined, web–based trading application to complement its award–winning desktop software, DealBook® 360 and its DealBook® Mobile software for wireless devices.

“DealBook® WEB is ideal for people on the go or who may want to place a trade from behind a firewall,” said Muhammad Rasoul, executive vice president and COO, Global Forex Trading.

DealBook® WEB is a browser–based, forex trading application designed for people who want more trading accessibility, and the trading power of GFT’s flagship forex platform, DealBook® 360.

GFT will offer its 64–plus currencies through DealBook® WEB, real–time news from Dow Jones Newswires and Informa Global Markets as well as commentary from industry analysts, such as Cornelius Luca and Ian Copsey.

“It’s very easy to start trading. You simply login with your GFT account on any computer with Internet access, and you are ready to trade,” said Rasoul.

GFT offers no–cost demo trading accounts for all of its online trading platforms, which are designed to give interested traders a comparable trading experience, using virtual cash and simulated market trading.

“People might be surprised we waited so long to develop a web–based trading platform,” said Rasoul. “The forex market moves very quickly, but web–based trading platforms couldn’t keep up — recent advances in web technology have now made it possible to get the performance our traders need.”

DealBook® WEB uses Web 2.0 technology, which is evolving quickly and is expected to rival even some of the most advanced desktop applications.

Using a combination of Ajax, Flex 2.0 and Flash within DealBook® WEB, forex traders receive very fast response times because there is no need for the entire webpage to be refreshed, as in traditional web browsing.

The Flash–based charting module included can be resized to any screen or trading monitor without losing the clarity and precision required to place trades, while also providing longer–term views of the overall market activity.

“With DealBook® WEB, it doesn't matter where you are or what type of computer you're using because everything you need is included within an online, secure website,” said Rasoul.

There is no software to download or install so traders can get the comparable speed and agility of a full–blown application, with access from their office, the couch or the park — anywhere they are connected to the Internet.
